In this opportunity you will generate awareness of how GHD is making water, energy and communities sustainable for generations to come! This role is responsible for working with marketing proposal staff to develop strategic win themes and key messages, as well as identify “evidence” (team experience) to support this content. This opportunity can be based out of most GHD offices throughout the United States. GHD supports a hybrid work-model.

Key Responsibilities:
- Edit, update, proofread, rewrite, and/or write project descriptions, resumes, and all qualifications' collateral, with help from involved technical staff
- Research topics and interview knowledge sources
- During proposal preparation, be available to edit and/or write any needed text, from introductions to sections, to cover letters and executive summaries, to captions and call-out boxes
- Work with technical proposal team members to craft, write, and edit scope, approach, understanding, and all technical sections
- Ensure documents are accurate, complete, and adhere to standards for quality, format, and style
- Collaborate with technical staff and the graphic design team to prepare award nomination submittals and narratives
- Lead multiple tasks and appropriately prioritize assignments to meet the proposal schedule
- Support the training of staff on technical writing standard processes
- Review work of proposal specialists and proposal managers for accuracy, ensuring high-quality documents
- Write, edit, and review technical (non-proposal) text for client-facing documents
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Technical Writing, English, Biology, Environmental Science, or related science or engineering subject area
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical writing experience in the A/E/C industry required
- Experience in a Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) regulatory environment a plus
- Demonstrable understanding of grammar and proficiency in editing
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Responsible great teammate who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong background in Microsoft Word, knowledgeable in Excel
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign a plus
