A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Clinical Research, Quality Manager,
The Quality Manager provides oversight for the quality assurance activities within the Clinical Research department at Castle Biosciences, Inc. (CSTL). In this role, the Quality Manager leads and manages the Quality team, providing direction, training, and support as needed. Additionally, the Quality Manager is responsible for leading, under the direction of the Associate Director, the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System for the Clinical Research department. Key responsibilities include overseeing the management of the clinical research audit program and processes and assisting with both internal and external audits-including internal systems, trial master files, and investigator sites-to ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of activities performed in accordance with applicable regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum RequirementsAssociate degree in related field
Minimum of 3 years of quality management experience required
Minimum of 3 years of clinical research experience required
Minimum of 1 year of experience managing direct reports required
Working knowledge of U.S., European and/or global regulations and standards covering clinical research
Actively displays behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.
In some cases, an equivalent combination of education, professional training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered
Preferred RequirementsBachelor's degree in related field (preferred) or demonstrated experience as evidence of competency
Previous experience with complex, global trials is preferred

Work Environment/Travel
Remote work, with a standard office environment when traveling to the office.
Some handling of biospecimens for quality assurance purposes
Frequent laptop use
Overnight travel (by car and airline) is 20% routinely, and up to 50% at times due to audit activities, staff training opportunities, and visits to the PHX office.
Potential exposure to caustic, corrosive chemicals or bio-hazardous samples exists when in a laboratory area
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
